Dear Happiers,

This is my first time to be a host, I felt very nervous. Because of working in cram school, I saw many children had poor reading abilities that made them got poor scores on the test. So, I chose the article about the “Reading” that we could discussed with it.
Reading enriches our lives, make us have far vision. End with everyone's opinions, reading allows us to have unlimited imagination, and we can solve the puzzles from the author, even read magazine, we still can increase knowledge. It is the most important that children have good reading ability. Nowadays, children's reading time might be occupied by using 3D products; one of members shared a very good suggestion: perhaps the author can create more appealing books for children that children can get more time to read.
Reading allows us to forget worries and immerse in what the author want to share. Children can get unlimited imagination from books. Yes, reading can make us stand higher and see farther!
Thanks everyone to join this gathering. With everyone’s support let the gathering had a perfect ending.
Thanks again for everyone.

Dear Taichung Happiers,

We are what we read.

Ralph Waldo Emerson (May 25, 1803 – April 27, 1882), the most influential writer of 19th-century America, declared “I cannot remember the books I've read any more than the meals I have eaten; even so, they have made me.” Good reading always assists us in thinking about what we are really doing. Books can be the magic carpet, and reading is everyone's Aladdin who can open our eyes to map the heavens. Thus, to acquire the daily routine of reading, we must make the rule of being more deeply in touch with our Aladdin.

Are you a passionate reader? Where is your favorite place for reading, your home, a café, a bookstore, or the Library? Do you love charity bookshops? Kindness is the only true power. Share our love of reading with people in difficulty to light more corners of this world.
http://www.redcross.org.uk/Get-involved/Our-shops/Our-specialist-shops/Charity-bookshops And, what is your dream library like? Do you prefer the library is like your home or your home is like the library? Check out these interesting libraries with breathtaking beauty which are always ready for us. http://www.miragebookmark.ch/most-interesting-libraries.htm

Reading for pleasure is a double delight. The more we look for the pleasure of reading, the more we will learn from reading. Even when we add some children books to our reading lists, it will end up with opening our minds as widely as possible. For instance, I have been greatly fascinated and inspired by this children picture book “Swimmy” (by Leo Lionni). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-juqmKIJqk By the way, here comes the bonus fun: Book Domino Chain World Record. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Np450xMSncE

C.S. Lewis (November 29, 1898 ~ November 22, 1963), one of the most distinguished Christian writers of his day, stated "Literary experience heals the wound, without undermining the privilege, of individuality.” What grants us something far more than distinct limits is this beautiful thing -- the mutual trust relationship between readers and authors -- which is second to none. Writers trust readers can, sooner or later, capture the deeper meanings; readers trust writers can accompany them to see paradise in the big answers coming to them.

What kind of books do you want to be part of your breath? The external world excites and also confuses us daily with its ever-changing mixture of chance and choice. Nourishing timeless insights by reading gifts us the feeling of believing in ourselves and embracing life. So, what are we waiting for? Just read. It is the narratives. It is our self-understanding. It is the sway in the breeze. Wherever the author is taking us, always remember we are not alone.

Until next time, happy reading!

P.S. Mother’s Day is coming! Dear Happiers, please sing a song to your Mama--Angel.
