Dear Taichung Happiers,

Clothes make the man. No?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QwievZ1Tx-8

Define clothes. Define time. Define space. What will scientists and poets write about? How often do you look at your wardrobe with the "dreaming eyes full of memories"? My Mom had been my best stylist, until that day.......... "You're going to be late for your dance class. Put on whatever shoes in front of you. Let's go." "Mom, it's a pair of green sandals!" "Yes." "Mom............" "Yesssss?" "I am wearing a red dress.............." Any implications? Everyone should be proud of the aesthetic of their most creative crazy outfit. Clothing is our second skin; clothing is creative self-expression; clothes brilliantly illustrate human culture and everyday life. Are you constantly shopping for new clothes after facing a closet full of clothes yet finding nothing to wear, and this insanely happy cycle just looks ceaseless? Fashion sounds nearly perfect, yet, is it good? Is the fashion industry showing the world as it truly looks? What are the major challenges of fixing Fast Fashion? What is styling but another name of beauty? Irish poet, author, and philosopher John O'Donohue (1 January 1956 – 4 January 2008) depicted how beauty is whispering under the surface. "The human soul is hungry for beauty; we seek it everywhere - in landscape, music, art, clothes, furniture, gardening, companionship, love, religion, and in ourselves. No one would desire not to be beautiful. When we experience the beautiful, there is a sense of homecoming." Real beauty is about understanding, and giving when we just want to take. Luckily, we’ve learned and we deserve to feel the beauty again; we are thankful for the beauty of our gatherings, which is in the hands of our hosts. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to join our host Harris in taking the hint of innocent curiosity in this topic.

We wear the story of who we are. What do penguins wear on their heads? (Ice caps!) When it comes to clothes/style/fashion, whose language are you speaking? Now, please close your eyes, and envision your best best friend. What’s her/his style? Award-winning writer Linda Grant confidently confirmed “Clothes as text, clothes as narration, clothes as a story. Clothes as the story of our lives. And if you were to gather all the clothes you have ever owned in all your life, each baby shoe and winter coat and wedding dress, you would have your autobiography.” In other words, everyone’s whole life is a unique style, and we can always dig up more ways to think of clothes.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4klwV84X7Y In every single society, there are silent social norms about how to dress in the morning. Culture. Culture is difficult--there’s a link to older beliefs and practices--how human are we without our sense of culture? Would we become an unborn thing? It’ll be more than interesting and intriguing to peek into the culture stories of traditional clothes in different corners of the world.https://www.nationalgeographic.com/travel/travel-interests/arts-and-culture/style-culture-fashion-around-world/ Culture matters! Clothes decode culture and indicate the trends in society and culture. http://www.lavocedinewyork.com/en/arts/2017/07/07/clothes-matter-unfolding-the-fabric-of-cultures/ Culture and clothes lace our dreams with messages and meanings. The outfits that can give us a pair of strong wings are the outfits that make us feel happy and proud of who we are.

We wear the story of what we are. "Judge not a man by his clothes, but by his wife's clothes"? Dressing/styling is the reflection of what we project ourselves as. Dressing/styling is a language--which is a skill we can lean--the purpose is nothing but to communicate clearly and correctly. Dressing/styling is a blessing--in particular, as the sunshine wears on, the feeling grows deeper and deeper that it defines the value of our lives every minute, every day, every year. What kinds of outfit remind you of your life purpose, like they make your mind racing and your heart thundering in your ears?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UE1ewpnC5wo To some extent, we are here in these clothes to design a response to whatever eventual inspiration may strike us. Clothes have the power to paint our moods, personally and professionally--whatever your power color is. Dressing better helps us working better--these research reports have more. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/dress-for-success-how-clothes-influence-our-performance/ Anne Helen Loesser Hollander (October 16, 1930 – July 6, 2014), a pioneering American historian, put across why dress for success leads to success. "Clothes can suggest, persuade, connote, insinuate, or indeed lie, and apply subtle pressure while their wearer is speaking frankly and straightforwardly of other matters." So, does the idea of dressing up mean anything to you? Is the way you see clothes, fashion, and style different from it in your childhood? How to transform the negative thoughts on your body and outfits into positive ones?

“Tryin' On Clothes” (by Shel Silverstein)

I tried on the farmer's hat,
Didn't fit…
A little too small - just a bit
Too floppy.
Couldn't get used to it,
Took it off.
I tried on the dancer's shoes,
A little too loose.
Not the kind you could use
for walkin'.
Didn't feel right in 'em,
Kicked 'em off.

I tried on the summer sun,
Felt good.
Nice and warm - knew it would.
Tried the grass beneath bare feet,
Felt neat.
Finally, finally felt well dressed,
Nature's clothes fit me best.

We wear the story of how we'll be. “I could give up shopping, but I’m not a quitter.” Thinking of clothes is enjoyable; meanwhile, it’s also an infinity war. On the wall, the mirror is more than adequate to our needs. In some hyper superb crazy ways, it’s what started everything. The meaning of clothes is exhausted. In some hyper superb crazy ways, we are designing a future culture of self-indulgence. Fashion industry and consumers committed the crime of making negative environment impacts together, due to overconsumption and inadequate understanding of how our clothes are made. Beauty. Beauty is too difficult—we are forgetful of real beauty.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbTbHNtYV_4 Perhaps, the downside of fashion industry is the reality we haven’t learned how to see. Perhaps, hopes and dreams of the future can hardly account for the complexity of everything. However, never ever be quick to draw conclusions about what we see and hear. Woooooo, relax, please. Have something organic first. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWxan35EWY4 Yes, fashion is good at catching our imagination; yet, globalization has made fashion industry overwhelmingly and increasingly confusing and complicated. The real cost of every dress is not only the environment but also the child and forced labors. How to think of and react to it differently? Would you like to pay a little more for high quality products to match your value? https://www.researchgate.net/publication/227650874_Eco-Clothing_Consumer_Identity_and_Ideology Above all, life is a magic thing. Social mission, none--it's there in everyday life.

Creating the style to make ourselves comfortable and confident is like celebrating who we are. Additionally, American screenwriter, director, producer, and novelist Ben Hecht (February 28, 1894 – April 18, 1964) remarkably reminds us that "Kindness, tolerance, integrity, modesty, generosity - these are attributes that events permit us. They are our holiday moods, and we are as proud of them as of the fine clothes we have hung away to wear on occasions." Yes. These things make every moment remain permanent. Things we trust. They tell an important story. Dear friends, we’re looking forward to having you share the stories behind your sentimental memories of clothes. Beauty is in the hands of Happiers. Join us. Thanks.
