Please Note:
Venue:台中市南屯區 大業路182號 Mos Burger二樓
Thanks a lot for your attention.

Questions:

1. What sports do you like most? Which sportsman do you like? Please tell us why.

2. Do you know if a player delivers outstanding performance in America's richest Sports Team, he can earn at least 1 billion NT dollars a year? Baseball is the “National Ball” of Taiwan. If you can do well in a Taiwanese professional team, you can earn only three million NT dollars a year. When comparing it with the former one, do you think it's fair?

3. Do you want a team (in any fields)? Why or why not?

4. If you were a sports team owner, how would you boost the popularity of your team?

Dear Taichung Happiers,

How to name your team?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GelG2m6LTjc

During my tour in Merton College, with amazement and admiration, I always planted my feet on the ground and locked my eyes on kids practicing football on the field. Meanwhile, what kept ringing in my ears is the striking statement by the Award-winning journalist, George F. Will, “Sports serve society by providing vivid examples of excellence.” While being provoked into the thoughts on sport, we think not just about high-performance athletes. We think of what we can learn from sports teams. We think of developing good habits, diverse perspectives, and positive changes, like what sports role models do. We think of comparing sport cultures in different corners of the world, as sport is the most beautiful and powerful language on earth. Every day, every minute, every second, our every performance breathes sport, sport, and sport. Ladies and gentlemen, brothers and sisters, welcome to join our host Yang in giving sport fresh thought.

We appreciate sport as a sketch map of life, which indicates the treasures of love, passion, and hard work. Sport is more for the mind and emotions development than for physical exercise and recreation--sport is more about the stories of all contexts than about the minute of winning--the stories of all contexts in families, audiences, and generations continue to impact on our consciousness of the challenge facing life. Then, what is the most dangerous sport in the world? It is……….disagreeing with your wife! Life is a cycle of adversities and adventures. Inspirational writer William Arthur Ward (February 16, 1921–March 30, 1994) simply suggested “Adversity causes some men to break; others to break records.” Breaking or breaking records is your choice. What motivates sportsmen motivates our love for life and to each other; the original stories of sport superheroes fly us high to set life goals and strive for them; athletes’ effectiveness of practice profoundly affects our hard work to achieve our true potential. How to make what is in the way to be the way of focusing our energy is more than challenging and rewarding. When the inevitable and uncontrollable tough times come, please, please, please, always remember that Mama knows best, and Papa is always right.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_7YlGv9u1g Above all, life lessons learned from sport provide lasting value. A game is just a game. However, what best weaves our “Never Give Up” story is the people we’ve stayed with, the experiences we’ve earned, the lessons we’ve learned, and the happiness we’ve lost and found. http://www.bbc.com/news/av/magazine-34279717/the-olympian-who-never-gave-up

We appreciate sport as an open gate to the competitive business world, where we extend our wings with confidence building, teamwork, and organizational culture. Dr. Ivan Joseph straightforwardly stressed the significance of the self-confidence skills for sports players and waved the magic wand of the self-confidence skills for everyone: repetition, practice, getting away from people who are tearing you down, and interpreting feedback the way you choose to. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-HYZv6HzAs Indeed, what business leaders can learn from sports teams is beyond our imagination and expectation. Phil Jackson, former American professional basketball player, coach, and executive in the NBA, pointed out “The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team.” All right, this Ninja Bunny gives the enthusiastic endorsement. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcxJobA2VEc Yet, why don’t women play football? Because 11 of them would never wear the same outfit in public. Ohoh…..It’s never been easy to lead lots of different personalities to work together for a common goal, unless you take charming care of what it feels like to be part of the team. Have you forged a family atmosphere in the workplace? How do you assess the performance quality of your team? A winning sports team sprouts from a nourishing culture, so does a superior business organization. How do you raise the awareness of cultural values and let the cultural influences differentiate your organization? To build a strong team spirit, promoting a productive culture of mutual trust is the cornerstone, which also intensely involves more rich leadership stories. Confident leaders make others more confident, while wise leaders make others better. The brilliant beams of light stretching from the sport field shine farther. https://www.forbes.com/sites/glennllopis/2016/05/25/5-ways-great-leaders-cultivate-wisdom-in-the-workplace/#b3562df596e7

We appreciate sport as the blue sky that re-defines success as acceptance, authenticity, and self-healing. Under the blue sky, humanity is another window into the spirit and soul of sports; under the blue sky, we cultivate and communicate the virtues of faith, hope, and love; under the blue sky, there’s always a hint of good weather to come, if we are in an optimistic mood. https://www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2016/08/the-27-hugs-you-meet-in-rio/495539/ So, how to tell winning from succeeding? How to accomplish sustainable success? Having won numerous awards, American actor, director, and producer Denzel Washington just hides his dictionary. "Success? I don't know what that word means. I'm happy. But success, that goes back to what in somebody's eyes success means. For me, success is inner peace. That's a good day for me." Yes, a good day! A good day is nothing more than this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvgGD_8pouc . Isn’t sport teaching us not to wait for the perfect moment, but to cherish every moment—in life and at work? In other words, accepting and loving the authentic you is the fountain of inner peace. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmCzhcP0uxs (American television host Ellen Degeneres is whispering: Accept who you are. Unless you are a serial killer.) On sport fields, previous lives never disappeared—the mental toughness supporting athletes to a high level performance reinforces the self-healing powers—inner peace prepares us well for the future chances. All right, here comes the “Papa Is Always Right” episode 3. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAtI55ZdFMg

“Inner peace” (by Richard North)

Achieving inner peace.
A mammoth task.
Due to the fact
That your peace
Lies in acceptance
That life isn't peaceful.
Yet synergises peacefully
With all that interacts with it.
In a nutshell.
If you look for inner peace.
It will elude you.
If you build the muscle
Of perception.
You will become more peaceful
When bathed in true light.

While all kinds of thoughts on sport racing through my mind, I love this 5-word-summary from the "Wizard of Westwood" John Wooden (He won ten National Collegiate Athletic Association national championships in a 12-year period as head coach at UCLA): “Make each day your masterpiece.” How, you might ask? Love more, experience more, and think more. According to Danish author and poet Hans Christian Andersen, life itself is the most wonderful fairy tale. Therefore, dream big, and, “read” on! Yes! And, always remember our Forever-Sunny Saturdays. Fly high! Join us. Thanks!!!
