It was my honor and pleasure to be the host for the second time. Happily, there were four new comers. We had a good time chatting and discussing in terms of Facebook issue.
There are different view holders of Facebook. For those who find favors with Facebook, they consider it as a super convienent way to keep social network. On the other hand, for those who dislike Facebook, they disvalue it due to the privacy concern. However, whether people like it or not, Facebook has 500 million users all over the world already. It's the second most visited website in the US.
The movie "The Social Network", which was newly released last weekend in the US, is a story of how Mark Zuckerber succeeded in making an on-campus Facemash site into a wildly-used Facebook one. Mark doesn't come off as a villain, but a smart one like Bill Gates. All the attendees showed great eagerness for seeing the movie when it's on in November.
I personally learn a lot from choosing the topic myself and benift much from discussing the article with members. Isn't it awesomely cool to keep yourself updated? Happy English Club is the way!
