Dear Happiers:

Although this Sat. most of people need to work, we still got 8 people in the gathering, and there were 11 people joined the Outing of KTV. I felt so happy!! We all sang over two English songs. Maybe we should held a singing competition next time then.

About the article- origin of lantern festival, everyone all has experienced since childhood. We usually play firecracker, take the lantern, riddle guessing, eat rice ball, take the lantern for night adventure with friends and talk about ghost story, and so on.
Also, because of the winter vacation homework when studied in elementary school, everyone can make lantern by our own. Kevin and Tzong make it by KLIM can. Jasmine and I make by glass paper and bamboo. Amber and Melissa make it by paper with drawing. Compare with now, children don’t know how to make one. Most of them all take the electronic lantern. It’s a pity I think.

Finally, I wish everyone all become more mature, healthy, and happy after the lantern festival. (because we all ate rice ball, right?)

Dear Taichung Happiers:

This must be the most memorable Lantern Festival for everyone in Taiwan.

Today, we indulge ourselves with screaming louder than we did during 2/23 karaoke activity; tonight, we can be more proud to play firecrackers than Sunday (The Lantern Festival); tonight, we so desire to dance in the moonlight and invite all Happiers to share the excitement together: “Life of Pi”—Harris’ previous topic and Jeffrey adopted it as the debate theme of our 1/5 gathering— wins 4 Oscar Awards, including the best director. Yes!!! In the backstage speech, the Award-winning director Ang Lee wishes everyone happy and lucky in the snake year.

Never mentioning this film without saying thanks to Taiwan, the glory of the glory, Ang Lee, he himself is a story of passion and persistence. Taichung Happiers have got it by heart and performed more missions with more affections. A pleasure to say, it recalls the most precious treasure of this Club: each host has their own style and strength. Finally, we would like to thank our 2/23 host, Harris, again for the bonus English riddle game which gives lasting entertainment to our minds. Moreover, we can enjoy the journey of language learning with endless surprises: http://www.waywordradio.org .
