It’s a wonderful day on 8/15!
There were 10 people participating in the gathering, three of the participators are new comers, their name are~ Jack, Ocean and Jessica.
As a host, I want to make an atmosphere where each one can have the opportunity to speak out and “switch on” his or her “English speaking switch”, I prepared some “tongue twister” as the warm up activity.
This activity really worked! Everyone enjoyed and truly “twisted” everybody’s tongue, ha-ha!
After the warm up, Alpha made a “thankful” and “praising” speech, he shared a movie about “Nick”, who lost his arms and walking but traveled many countries and made speeches to teenagers. This movie really inspired us, no matter how bad is the situation, we should be happy to face the next day (It’s hardly, but we should try).
Then, we discussed the article about “adoption”, it’s unbelievable there was someone who truly is an adopted person. Fortunately, “the one” grows up in a happiness family.
Finally, thank the happy time conductor Chichi held the happy time session and the photographer, Alpha (anyone else?) took photo everywhere.
Honestly, I have to say the most interesting part is the “unexpected after dinner” at Chichi’s family. The view of the house is beautiful and unstressful. Alpha, Edward, Loraine and me, we cooked dinner together and enjoyed the meal with Chichi’s grandparents. I t’ s a good “unexpected matter”~
