Possibly because of the bad weather, there were only 6 people attending the gathering. Luckily, all of us could express themselves fully and deeply. Besides five members, we had one newcomer called Faye joining the gathering as well. She majored in animation and had studied in America for 2 years and worked there one year, too. She shared plenty of her American experiences with us and contributed those cultural diferences to our topic as well. Of the five members, Sharon is a long-lost friend and she didn't show up the gathering until now for about one year. She was talkative and she was about to quit the job and travel independently in America for 2 months.
Lantern Festival, Chinese Lunar New Year, moon festival and Dragon boat festival are the most impressive events held in Taiwan. If you want to try something different, you can show the foreign friend to see temple fairs as well, especially the shocking scene "The Eight Police Officers (八家將)" stabbing their backs to shed the blood. Last but not least, you might as well see the movie "Din Tao: Leader of the Parade" and you can get lots of inspriarion from the movie.
