Dear Sakura,
Your drunk chicken was really tasty. Thank you so much!!!!!!!!! WE LOVE YOU、BIG CHEF! (hug hug)

Everyone、our kind Sakura even provided us the recipe for this delicious dish. You can try to make it at home when you have nothing to do on typhoon day! Please give her some appreciation!

Ingredients :
1. one large fresh chicken leg
2. salt / pepper
3. slices ginger / short length green onions
4. boxthorn(枸杞) / Shaohsing wine(紹興酒)

Instructions:
Step 1. remove bone
You should buy the chicken leg in the traditional market. Because you can ask the butcher to remove all bones with it、or you can buy it from the supermarket、but you have to remove the bones yourself.

Step 2. add ingredients
Firstly、wash、clean the chicken and prepare one plate to put the chicken on it. Add some salt / pepper throughout the chicken. then set the ginger and green onions on top and bottom of chicken.

Step 3. steam chicken (15-20 mins)
You can put the chicken on a pot or electric pot. Add some water to steam it for 15-20 mins at small fire(low temperature). Steam until it is completely cooked.
How do we recognize if the chicken cooked or not? You can use a chopstick to check it. If it is easy to stick in、it means it is well done.

Step 4. soak in the wine
When the chicken cooked、now take all ingredients out、but retain the liquid that comes out from the chicken during steaming. then put some boxthorn on the top and bottom of chicken and pour the Shaohsing wine. Soak the chicken in the wine. The chicken don’t need to soak in the wine completely (about 2/3 ) will be fine.

Step 5. keep in the refrigerator
You should wait the chicken cold down then cover with the plastic wrapper and keep it in the refrigerator overnight. (at least 12 hours、24 hours is best)、 If possible、you can turn the chicken once so every part gets to soak in the wine.

Step 6. cut it into slices
Next day、you will find the wine-chicken liquid will turn into some jelly throughout the chicken then cut it into some slices. Now you can arrange them nicely on a plate、then pour the jelly (stock) over the chicken、cover and return to the refrigerator again. then you can enjoy it anytime if you want.

Dear Sakura:

You are really nice. The drunk chicken was sooooooooo yammy. I was touched when you told me that you made the dish last night. I was shocked because we went to Louise's birthday party last night and everyone went back home late including you. I guess you must sleep late for preparing those things.

Thanks very much for your treat. It's really the best drunk chicken that I've had ever. You are the best. We love you.

Dear all alcoholic guys,

I really poured lots of Shaohsing wine(紹興酒) in this dish, but it seems that everyone didn’t get drunk. You guys’ drinking capacity was amazing. Hehehe.....

Originally, I was the speaker on Sep.13, I prepared this dish on Sep.12, (Ting noticed the photo day), but you have known, we had the holiday for the strong typhoon. The gathering was cancelled that day.
so, I have had drunk chicken all week. When Selena asked me to order the drunk chicken in the celebration of Louise birthday. I said, no. (now, Selena should known that why I refused it)

Actually, when I prepared this dish again. I was so worry about this typhoon will spoil the gathering once more. Fortunately, there were many people came to the gathering, then every comer have tasted this dish already.

Anyway, thank you guys for giving me so sweet compliments. I love you too. I was so shy.
Hope we will have the potluck party someday, then we can enjoy them together….
