It's been a long time that I endure the smoke emitted from my neightbor's range hood. I always wonder why they cook in such an oily way that the smell is really suffocating. I do cook but I seldom launch my range hood, and the flavor of the meal is not bad, my family told me.

Today, I am pondering how to improve this situation in a gentle way. I don't want to hurt my neighbor's feeling at all, although I really dislike their rebellious daughters, noisy son, and ice-cooled father.

Dear Sofia,
I just thought up a very good idea. Well, since we are going to have another outing in late November - a paintball game and BBQ. I suggest we have BBQ in front of their windows or doors to let them "enjoy" the smoke. After we've got enough food, we can use their door or window as the targets for our paintball shooting.
Wow.....what a good idea from such a mean 6-year-old girl - me. :mrgreen:

Dear Sofia

I guess the plastics tube points at your house, emitting exhaust gas from your neighbor’s range hood. I had the same experience many years ago as you are. It’s annoying. You may ask your neighbor to add another tube connecting to the original one to change the direction of emission. If they don’t, you spend that money doing yourself. There are more people without civism that you will have met.
