I use a useful skill to remind myself the birthdays of my friends.
I change my friends' MSN titles as this format:
Happy--Happy Chan, 0101

Happy to sort my friends' names by the group Happy
Happy Chan my friend's name
0101 my friend's birthday

By this method, I will notice my friends' birthdays when they login MSN.
