Questions:
1. According to this article, it remains a strong cultural norm in large parts of the western world that most women adopt their husband’s family name when they get married . Do you think there will be a huge change for this name-taking practice in western culture in the near future? Why or why not?
2. In South-East Asia, most of the societies are generally patriarchal. However, modernization and globalization profoundly impact every culture. Do you think our culture is still more patriarchal? Or, compared with those cultures which we're more familiar with(e.g. Chinese culture, Japanese culture, Korean culture, etc.), our culture is more patriarchal or gender-equal?
3. From your perspective, in our culture, what kind of traditional practices should be preserved carefully, and what kind of traditional practices should be changed quickly?(e.g. priority seats, red envelope, some religious practices...)
4. Same-sex marriage has been legal in Taiwan for a few years. Do you notice any changes related to it in your daily life?
