Questions:
1. Will you fight for justice and speak out in front of folks, while seeing something that makes you feel uncomfortable?

2. If your supervisor asks you to do something, which is under table or a loophole in the law, will you refuse it or not? What will you do?

3. While facing peer pressure, almost everyone wants to be a good guy and hide their true emotions or opinions in a group. Are you also one of them or not? Why?

4. Can you share any examples happening around you with us (e.g., because you or others successfully propose an idea, it makes a transformational change)?

Dear Taichung Happiers,

What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HJ2XLrFRzU

Books are our best best friends; being uncomfortable, the second. Life is full of choices; what picture of the twists and turns along the journey seizes your heart? The most frustrating at all is to witness the nature of competition and the development of technology making our future impossible to be less complicated than now. As anticipated, everyone has a reluctance to risk too much of their comfortable status for the unknown. However, if you are fighting the uncomfortable, I won’t call that constructive fighting. Serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Winston S. Churchill (30 November 1874 – 24 January 1965) made a request for further aid. “Sometimes doing your best is not good enough. Sometimes you must do what is required.” Yet, yet, yet, what precisely is required? Performance requirements change over time. We try our best to find comfort every time, everywhere, although there’s little on offer. How to grow the excitement at facing the uncomfortable, at facing the challenges for positive changes? How to smile in the correct manner whenever we detect the uncomfortable tone in the voice of every opportunity? Stretch ourselves beyond your comfort level; leverage our core strength to reach where we want to reach; find our inner bravery to unlock possibilities for more purposes, meaning, and impacts. Sisters and brothers, welcome to join our host Harris in thinking up ways to embrace the paths we are not familiar with and find growth.

There is discomfort in every benefit; there is benefit in every discomfort. “The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary.” What do you remember about your first day going to school, about practicing your first dance, and about doing your first job? These moments must have remained firmly implanted in your mind. Why? Partly because these moments made you feel uncomfortable to some extent. A look of astonished annoyance might have acrossed your face, and then, you turned your eyes toward the window……. If we haven’t faced new challenges, how can we know what we are made of and what we can do? Being constantly comfortable sounds exotic, yet, it’s dangerous sometimes.
https://www.forbes.com/sites/sujanpatel/2016/03/09/why-feeling-uncomfortable-is-the-key-to-success/#3ecf3f001913 According to Irish playwright and critic George Bernard Shaw (26 July 1856 – 2 November 1950), “Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.” To lock ourselves into opportunities, being mentally tough is more than necessary. We suffer so much over every moment of self doubt, every moment we feel the world doesn’t understand what we are doing. And, we suffer all the more, because we believe, we, are, alone. It’s ok to be exactly very revealing--allow yourself to be vulnerable--open the possibility for advance insights. How do you practice to be comfortable being uncomfortable? Isn’t travelling a wonderful way? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KmFGlUQCQA Be uncomfortable being comfortable in order to be comfortable being uncomfortable. If being uncomfortable is not the biggest inspiration, nothing is. Be comfortable being uncomfortable requires Self discipline. Self discipline is not boring, it frees us from ourselves. The things we find easy were once hard; masters were once beginners. Every mission is impossible, until, it’s done. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wb49-oV0F78

When life gives you lemons, make Sunkist juice--to make friends with discomfort, know who you are. ”People are very open-minded about new things, as long as they’re exactly like the old ones.” Change requires us to turn our gaze down into the depths of our inner world--a stronger understanding and acceptance of who we are. Nonetheless, a certain amount of confusion and hesitation often, very often, betrays our intention. To root up the cause of confusion and hesitation, stop stirring up a whole cloud of soot worrying about what others think of us. American philanthropist Bernard M. Baruch (August 19, 1870 – June 20, 1965) encouraged us to embrace every opportunity with our authentic self. “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.” What can you do differently to help yourself stand out? Take time to be with ourselves and thus know ourselves better to form a carefree lifestyle. Who are we, without any titles? Who are we? What do we stand for? Say no to the things that don’t feel authentic. They aren’t aligned with the person you want to be. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vjmad-G43M4 Do you treat yourself as your best friend? In the Museum of Self-identity, nothing but the power of being who you are and the power of being present are perfectly exhibited. Be your authentic self. Be present. Feel yourself. Feel your emotions. Emotions, good or bad, reflect our inner worlds. Love yourself. Value yourself. It’s what we do every day, day in and day out, that affects how we feel. How do we communicate with ourselves every day? Be aware of how you say to yourself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LML17BRZppU Because of your unique values, nobody can imitate you, nobody can replace you, and nobody can have your own journey. Positive energy and inspiration translate our identity into responsibility and reputation. To make friends with discomfort, we should know who we are and savor any moment. Professor Pietro Boselli’s actions speak louder to test his limits. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBYdBJyuzvE

From “The Master's Sacred Knowledge” (by Allan Rufus)

The most incredible architecture
Is the architecture of Self,
which is ever changing, evolving, revolving and has unlimited beauty
and light inside which radiates outwards for everyone to see and feel.

With every in breathe
you are adding to your life
and every out breathe you are releasing what is not contributing to your life.
Every breathe is a re-birth.

You can make possible what others think is impossible. “If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.” Hundreds of things must have indicated to us that building self-confidence is the early daylight we can see at the edge of the uncomfortable curtains. Build confidence to prevent the poison in our wounds from traveling around. Building confidence is all about bridging the gap between what we should be and what we become; building confidence is allowing the light hurting our eyes for a second, as our drunkenness on the comfort re-blooms. Italian sculptor, painter, architect and poet of the High Renaissance Michelangelo (6 March 1475 – 18 February 1564) admonished us “The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark.” Our fear of change and fear of failure can take the wind out of our sails. How to embrace the truth, face fear, and get excited about the new opportunity, no matter how disagreeable it smells?
https://www.huffingtonpost.com/2016/12/12/how-to-feel-confident_n_5724732.html Entering the hallway of conquering fears, we are greeted by the sound of newly started softness of learning. It’s our thoughts, not the situation, that create our stress and fears. Above all, learn to get outside of our comfort zone, we have to be willing to risk rejection. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vZXgApsPCQ Learn how to learn--learn and change-- feel comfortable to make mistakes. As long as we learn from every experience, we don’t really lose at anything. The experiences we digest are all added up to our growth. A growth mindset needs an Aha moment. An Aha moment requires an advance insight and a commitment to action; an Aha moment only occurs when we are comfortable with being uncomfortable; an Aha moment leads us to put our self-consciousness aside and go for it. Eventually, a growth mindset curiously steadies our heartbeats. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5836039/

Come closer into the light. Pain and discomfort always sigh with a hint of secrecy. Becoming comfortable being uncomfortable allows us to dream while we are wide awake, awake with a mysterious contentment. Becoming comfortable being uncomfortable is to fear less and hope more; to judge less and love more; to focus less on achieving more and focus more on enjoying more. What was Albert Einstein signaling us to lock in tense embrace? “Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value.” Value. Only when we work for something greater than ourselves, only when we pass on the passion to serve humanity, can we find it. Only when we share our energy and value, can we feel further and further energized and valued. As a result, we shower ourselves and others from above with acceptance, appreciation, and adaption. The greater the suffering is, the greater the peace is coming. Join us. Thanks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWR5EgY1P6g
