Please Note:
Venue:台中市南屯區 大業路182號 Mos Burger二樓
Thanks a lot for your attention.

Questions:
1. Do you recognize any particular facial expressions or body gestures that you often present when you are angry, nervous, happy, relaxed or excited? Are they cool, funny, annoying, interesting, or silly?

2. What situations make you stretch yourself? In what situations do you make yourself smaller? Do you agree with the author’s statement, “the power poses that will instantly boost your confidence”? Does the “fake it till you make it” attitude actually work? How to do it in practice?

3. Statistics show that only 7% of our message is delivered through verbal words, while 38% is vocal and 52% is body language. It takes only 0.1 second to create a first impression and that determines your likeability. How do you judge people at first sight? Are there any other body languages you like or don’t like? Should you trust your first impression? Why or why not? Is your intuition always right?

4. How does your body react when you try to keep a secret in a conversation? Are your attempts easily detected? Can you spot a liar through non-verbal signs? How to detect a liar through body language?

Dear Taichung Happiers,

Body language: Encoding and decoding?
http://www.newyorker.com/humor/daily-shouts/a-guide-to-museumgoers-body-language

They say music is the greatest communication in the world! Yes—after the musician finished her speech last weekend, feeling not like to leave, I listened to my heart to turn around—my bliss was streaming from the eye contact and lingered longer. Irish playwright and critic George Bernard Shaw (26 July 1856 – 2 November 1950) was the artist sculpting the “shape” of communication and marking the missing piece, “The single biggest problem with communication is the illusion that it’s taken place.” So, when and where are you usually filled with a sense of communication? When different insights in powerful conversations form the flow, what we apply non-verbal communication to well-being development is like the tip of the iceberg. Body language works things out for the fundamental; body language sticks our actions on our core value; body language cultivates our collective confidence for profound performance. This weekend, our former President Kevin Huang will lead Happiers to learn the significance of Body Language and listen to the most beautiful sound, the sound of “silence”. Welcome to join Kevin in discovering your own definition for communication.

“Body Language” (By Shel Silverstein)

Said my feet, “Hey, let’s go dancin‘.”
Said my tongue, “Let’s have a snack.”
Said my brain, “Let’s read a good book.”
Said my eyes, “Let‘s take a nap.”
Said my legs, “Let‘s” just go walkin’.”
Said my back, “Let‘s take a ride.”
Said my seat, “Well, I‘ll just sit right here,
‘Til all of you decide.”

Communication is the attitude of confidence to empower ourselves and others. Circulation of communication is where the confidence comes from; confidence triggers trust to continue. Circulation is absolutely not only for information but also for emotions. Hummm…..the hardest part of any relationship is when it's not your turn to talk? Daniel Goleman, a psychologist and the author of Emotional Intelligence, prescribed that “People's emotions are rarely put into words, far more often they are expressed through other cues. The key to intuiting another's feelings is in the ability to read nonverbal channels, tone of voice, gesture, facial expression and the like.” To stimulate the circulation of non-verbal communication, please enjoy this quiz.
http://testyourself.psychtests.com/testid/3764 In addition, please remember that only giving others confidence can prove you are more confident today. In other words, being generous with your feedback can employ a strong influence on verbal and non-verbal communication; as a result, confidence can be a happy precious commodity. I know, I know, “How?” is always on the list of the most wanted. Here we go. https://hbr.org/tip/2017/04/pay-attention-to-your-body-language-when-giving-feedback Oh, yes, and……. Mr. Shark has something to share. http://www.discoveryuk.com/shows/shark-week/sharkopedia/shark-body-language/#7c8504a94cd951f2698cd8ff54c63d61

Communication is the attitude of calmness to declare direction and vision. Communication is introduced by Professor John Adair as “the sister of leadership”. Professor John Adair is not alone--the admonition from Ralph Waldo Emerson mirrors these two sisters. “What you do speaks so loudly that I cannot hear what you say.” What has the impartial impact on the conversation we perform? The actions we choose. What has the impartial impact on the relationship we have? The actions we choose. What has the impartial impact on the life quality we desire? The actions we choose. Everyone can lead without a title, as long as we choose to pass messages in a passionate way like having the superpower. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFLjudWTuGQ Communication is a journey—when the river of communication is moving, the blue bird of positivity must be flying. Can you think of any non-verbal communication that generates more alternatives and surprises? When did it occur? Why did it happen to you? Communication is the attitude of calmness to encourage the positive energy, the long term goals, and solution-focused strategies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HRl0dvPRkSI&app=desktop Again, Nature teaches us to engage more for the perfect preparation to package more solutions. No doubt, non-verbal communication of animals is the most inviting education. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pq_74bp18sA

Communication is the attitude of connection to show our respect. Are you that kind of English/body bilingual? Body language—everyone reads and is read—offers the golden opportunity for acceptance. Have you ever experienced any trip completely counting on non-verbal communication? If yes, how did you feel? What is the most rewarding of this experience? On the other hand, when we meet misunderstandings and miscommunications just because of the over-estimated body language reading, the balance of verbal and non-verbal communication is the only light. https://www.nytimes.com/2014/03/25/science/in-airport-screening-body-language-is-faulted-as-behavior-sleuth.html?_r=1 At last, the sunshine is casting its smile again, because we start to learn that connecting is much much much more important than detecting. The ultimate aim of communication is to welcome diversity, to find out what is the most important to others. Above all, communication is nothing more and nothing less than respecting the true color of everyone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVZcnexBx0o No worries though. Like nature, Art conquers all. American art teacher and author Betty Edwards simply asserted “Art has this long history, predating even language, of expressing nonverbal information.” Have a happy try! http://www.metmuseum.org/art/online-features/viewpoints

Great to have Mother’s Day coming--please communicate your love louder! And, louder! Hereby, I would like to thank every Happier’s Mom. Without you, we can’t have these glorious fellows to grow this Club into such a big happy family. Happy Mother’s Day! (We’ll see whose Mom joining our Club first. LOL.) Join us. Thanks!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=874mADUXGJw
