Dear Taichung Happiers,

Taichung Happy English Club’s gathering on October 10th has been cancelled due to the Double Tenth Day long weekend.

Except for “play hard and eat harder”, I would love to recommend two bowls of soul soup I have enjoyed recently. Reading the first few pages of this book created my impulse to skip that afternoon’s dancing class--“Run, Boy, Run” is a true story by Uri Orlev (English translation by Hillel Halkin)--finishing this book encourages my belief that reading good novels is the best way to learn empathy.
