Topic Discussion Article: Your Office Chair Is Killing You (文章)
Questions:
Session 1
1. Please describe your working environment or the partitioning of your seat. Do you have anything in the office to make you feel more comfortable or convenient, such as slippers?
2. What are your sitting postures in the office? Do you cross your legs? Please show us if possible.
3. Is your chair comfortable? Do you ache in your lower back, shoulders, and thigh? Do you use cushions or pillows to make you feel more at ease (as lumbar support)?

4. During a work day, how often do you get up from your chair and take a break? Have you purchased an ergonomic chair to keep you in a S-shape while sitting?
5. In the article, it is mentioned that, “If you're standing around and puttering, you recruit specialized muscles designed for postural support that never tire,” and “they're unique in that the nervous system recruits them for low-intensity activity and they're very rich in enzymes." In your opinion, is it better to stand while handling paperwork in the office? What do you think about a standing desk for work?
6. Except of the pain from sitting, have you or any one you know encountered other work related health issues or occupational diseases?
