Topic Discussion Article: The Difference Engine: The spy in your pocket (文章)
Questions for Discussion:
Session 1
1. What are the functions in you phone that you use most frequently? Please share with us.
2. Do you like "check-in" via smart phone when you go out or on travel? Why people like to notify their location information?
3. Do you regard a smart phone as a spy in your pocket? Do you think Apple's damage control mentioned in the article is going to work?
Session 2
4. Can you figure out other location-based servies, eg. Google Street View, that might be helpful on solving traffic problems such as traffic-congestion?
5. "We should be both cheered and cautious about such developments." What is your opinon the "locationgate", are you cheered or cautious about it? What are the pros and cons?
6. Web browsers, mobile phones and tablets keep analyzing people's behaviors and recording data that may be a great benefit/revenue to both vendors and customers. How do we balance the situation bewteen convenience and privacy?
