Dear Taichung Happiers,

New Year, new dreams.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12OiRxEuxPM

Welcome to 2019! It is a time of indescribable beauty. It is a time for reflection, transformation, and contribution. It is a time for further understanding your value and worth to connect the present you and the future you. Well, in 2018, what made small noises signaling surprise and satisfaction to you? Why are they important to you? How will you contribute accordingly in 2019? Historian R. Joseph Hoffmann reassures people in an inspiring and encouraging way. “Rightly understood the New Year festival is an act of faith. It is easier for the year to change than to change ourselves. But we believe that somehow, magically, one will lead to the other.” The gesture of the New Year brings with it a host of emotions, also questions. If changing jobs is your consideration, it also includes plenty of available options, such as accepting a promotion, having side jobs, doing more volunteering jobs, and combining two or more jobs together. The urge to make our goals a reality is irresistible. The fireworks, shifting everyone’s energy right away, is inviting all the things, big and small, to motivate us--to think through big choices by clarifying more beginnings than endings--and to dedicate ourselves to more challenges. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to 2019. It’s a fresh start to curate our memories and opportunities. Welcome to share with us what you would like to do differently. Welcome to join our host Kevin Huang on the journey of pursuing the best and true version of ourselves and making 2019 the best year ever!

We are what we choose. “Whatever you do always give 100% - unless you're donating blood.” With our unique ability, which direction are we going--where we can follow our true passion? What is your 2019 adventure?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXfxLIuNJvw At the beginning of a new year, we are struck by a sense of profound presumption and anticipation. Do you feel like to further discover your unstoppable passion and open the door to looking for more possibilities? Miracle is for those who live their own dreams, who can refocus on the goals for a healthier, happier, and more loveable version of themselves. Our priorities spell out our life purpose silently and surely. Harvard psychologist Susan David strongly suggests us to search deep inside ourselves before starting setting goals. “Your core values provide the compass that keeps you moving in the right direction. Rather than being abstract ideas, these values are the true path to willpower, resilience and effectiveness.” Here is a free quiz she gifts us. http://quiz.susandavid.com/s3/eai Yes, our life purpose, definitely enhancing the effectiveness of our decision-making, keeps our time from losing its shape. Everyone’s life purpose is to attract better, better for ourselves, and, also, for others. Be the influence to inspire others for a big picture that is more elaborate and more complete. A job is not always a job. We adore the mission of every job, in it we glimpse our value and hope fulfilled. “Doing well is the result of doing good”, Jean Oelwang, the founding CEO and President of Virgin Unite, quoted Ralph Waldo Emerson to start her speech. In this era of constantly transforming governments, technologies, and business ecosystems, she encouraged the choice of positive human nature—empathy, humanity, and courage—to collectively create a better human future. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tvaDXwo9R0

What do you wish you have learned earlier in your life? "Dear board of education, even we are also bored of education." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOxQFi4ZI2c Under the New Year Sunshine, we are indulging ourselves in rejoicings and our life progresses are reliably reevaluated. So much to learn and so little time. What do you do with your unquenchable curiosity? The most delicious way to quest for knowledge is reading, which feeds us a lot of knowledge on a great variety of topics. What is the one thing that can instantly change your life, and its magic will last beyond a lifetime? If it’s not reading, nothing is. Reading extends our experience of joy and our efficiency of understanding and thinking; reading keeps us from being mediocre and short-sighted; reading boosts our ability to express true feelings and inner thoughts. That’s why reading is so nonnegotiable to most successful individuals. Hum…, so, tell me , please, what is your book list for 2019? And, what is your ideal library like? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTBjtGhUfn0 Moreover, what can make people see the invisible and do the impossible? Sports?! Right! How do athletes become athletes? Their hardship is within more layers of nature. Adversities always manage to find everything and everyone in the sports world, most typically at various milestones. The sports world teaches us about life. https://www.dnaindia.com/sports/fifa/report-5-inspirational-stroies-you-must-not-miss-from-world-cup-2018-2631375 Above all, learning is a reminder that we are human; learning is the new career development. Author and speaker Julie Winkle Giulioni simply put:”it’s time to rebrand, redefine, and reconstitute career development to focus on learning.” Whatever we do, wherever we are, a learning culture dissolves in more networking. https://hbr.org/2018/07/4-ways-to-create-a-learning-culture-on-your-team

Find your magic word to change and grow. What sparks you to make any changes, either big or small? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwtJI6NWc5k Every journey, like a river, is always changing, with no beginning and no end. Change? Why should we put all we have on the risks? Change is a process of growth. Keep growing, keep evolving, and keep taking everything to the next level. Watch, where does our energy flow? Is it supporting our transformation to solve more problems? Receiving numerous awards, Dr. Dale Turner took the road less travelled and remarkably reminded us, “Dreams are renewable. No matter what our age or condition, there are still untapped possibilities within us and new beauty waiting to be born.” During the process of change, one of the most unbearable discomforts strikes when we care too much about what others think about us. https://www.inc.com/lolly-daskal/how-to-stop-worrying-what-other-people-think-of-you.html Change. Something, somewhere, must have changed. We can feel it. Our change is a ripple, which always creates an echo. We feel connected. As if someone out there has switched on the light, and although we don’t know how far the spark can reach, we feel it can fuel the flames of something bigger. There’s a lot of uncertainty. There’s a lot of fear we have to overcome in order to make frustration, confusion, hesitation, and suspicion fade away and let our actions take over. No change, no reality. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tF04Em4h-ZY

From “Another Fresh New Year” (by William Arthur Ward)

This bright new year is given me
To live each day with zest . . .
To daily grow and try to be
My highest and my best!

I have the opportunity
Once more to right some wrongs,
To pray for peace, to plant a tree,
And sing more joyful songs!

Welcome to 2019! Surprise is everywhere. Every journey, like a river, is filled with dreams. Whatever dreams that have haunted you for years, wear your flying-high expression on your face again. German writer and statesman Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (28 August 1749 – 22 March 1832) firmly endorsed the power of action. “Whatever you do or dream you can do – begin it. Boldness has genius and power and magic in it.” We winkle our noses in discomfort while recognizing the path; the pains in life stem from not being able to bear the pains of learning. Invisible wings whisper positive thoughts in our ears, prompt us to see and feel more beauty and light, and generate additional energy. Consistent actions, creativity, and ceaseless efforts cast a rich glow, opening our minds to be both optimistic and realistic. Luckily, we have a great group of friends here we can discuss all of these with to help us reflect, stay motivated, and make the move. The best is yet to come. What three words will best describe your 2019? Love. Give. Improve. Promise? Have faith. Join us. Thanks.
