Please Note:

Thanks a lot for your attention.

Questions:
1. Last week, Gary went to a night market and tried to drink bitter gourd juice. Gary disliked bitter gourd, but after drinking it, Gary felt it tasted really not bad. When you tried something you disliked (which can be foods, events, animals, subjects, people, etc.), what kind of experience did you get? Did it change something or did it just prove your previous opinion is so much right?

2. Have you been passionate about something in the past, but now your feelings about it become neutral or a bit negative? Or in reverse, you have had negative feelings about something in the past, but right now your feelings about it become positive. What is that? What changed your opinion?

3. Sometimes, even though we know something is beneficial or no harm to us, it is still so hard to give it a shot. Why do people hardly be persuaded or encouraged by such knowledge?

4. From your experience, what were the better strategies or conditions persuading or encouraging you to try something you're not interested in? Or what better strategies you have used to persuade others to do something they were not interested in the beginning?

Dear Taichung Happiers,

When we look back, everything is different--different, but not so different inside. Nobel Laureate in Literature George Bernard Shaw (26 July 1856 – 2 November 1950) admonished us to seek the value of change. ”Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything.” Everyone changes, in the hope of being healthier and happier. What kind of changes have you been chasing? Small or big changes? Interior or exterior changes? Changes for yourself or for others? Why these changes? What do you feel about change? Is it easy or difficult? Never be afraid of change. Awareness, kindness, and peace can change our minds and then change everything. Dear friends, how often do we forget that awareness, kindness, and peace are always there, inside ourselves? Our every choice to change will attract more chances. Change is to discount the distraction to let our authenticity re-surface again. You are still you. Above all, if you haven’t changed, we haven’t known you. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to join our host Gary in portraying Who’s Who.

Awareness changes everything--read more and experience more. Will anything change, if we put a dollar in a change machine? Nope. German author Eckhart Tolle, once regarded as the most spiritually influential person in the world, simply stated:”Awareness is the greatest agent of change.” Awareness aroused by reading can help us further understand ourselves and be honest with ourselves; consequently, it changes everything. In addition, experiencing more art or travel trains our observation proficiency and aesthetic perception. While experiencing more sincere activities, like art and travel, we are more satisfied to support ourselves, because of the space, the light, the air, the people, and everything surrounding us. Change thus happens—tangibly and intangibly—the beauty of it is the change feels like part of our deepest nature, the change happens while we breathing in and breathing out. The experience, awareness, and change depend on us, and we are dependable. Here comes the travel-art-reading, 3-in-1, combinations worthy of our contact.
http://edition.cnn.com/travel/article/coolest-libraries-world/index.html Art and travel also advance our awareness of culture difference; meanwhile, the awareness of culture difference itches with the desire to change and travel more. For example, this martial artist 黄鸿璽 has transformed his journey of personal change into a collective change of culture awareness. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ua0gRGJeRPA All right, and, you know the art of experiencing more eating and shopping, right? 8) How about cooking more? Or, swimming more? What change will we chance upon? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5QCp4ta3F-Q

Can Poetry Change Your Life? http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2017/07/31/can-poetry-change-your-life

Love changes everything. Love changes everything. “In which direction?”, you might ask. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oH8Mj5jvDow Oh oh~~~ at least, you can be the pilot. Love yourself—involve the importance of self-compassion ]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Og9DB06TE8U —love your perfect imperfection and dream on, move on. Self-compassion is the most beautiful and pleasing provoker of positive change. Self-compassion helps us make good choices; self-compassion facilitates us to focus on positive past; self-compassion manages our growth mindset. Self-compassion is a magic mirror. Holding it, we recognize our responsibilities more clearly and make good choices more calmly. Self-compassion is a magic mirror reflecting our positive memories. Self-compassion is a magic mirror. Our wish of a growth mindset is granted in front of it. You are the fairest person in the world when you keep learning, when you are accompanied by positive friends, when you selflessly share your skills and stories out loud. Then, ta-dah…..everything changes. If self-compassion isn’t the most beautiful provoker of positive change, what is beautiful? Moreover, Lailah Gifty Akita, founder of Smart Youth Volunteers Foundation, defines love with “Surgery-Thinking”: “Love is divine act that can transform and bring a change of heart.” Love more. When the Positive Change Cycle goes from uninformed optimism to informed pessimism to informed optimism, the Baby Boss Change Cycle is presented with the path of informed pessimism uninformed optimism informed optimism. In the story Baby Boss, before they survive and thrive, it is the sibling love that bonds Tim and his baby brother tighter to strive for the total situations. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k397HRbTtWI Love more. Kindness is always the best policy to change everything. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hFPn-aHnNxw

Peace changes everything; inner peace leads to world peace. “If nothing ever changed, there’d be no butterflies.” Inner peace, like a garden filled with healthy-growing flowers under the sunshine, can innovate intelligence and inspire insight. Remember, accept, and cherish what life has given us, be content and confident, and see how these can change our relationship with ourselves, and with the world. This school is having rewarding results after giving students more opportunities of inventing inner peace. http://www.upworthy.com/this-school-replaced-detention-with-meditation-the-results-are-stunning When you have inner peace, you pay more attention to what you are doing, what’s going on around you, without any prejudice, and what you can change is beyond imagination and expectation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mX_oxe1yEcM Author Ufuoma Apoki resolved the reason why we need changes. “One of the greatest purposes a man/woman can ever be indulged in is the positive evolution of self for the selfless service to humanity.” Selfless service. How? Check out how Harvard Business School professor Rosabeth Moss Kanter tabulated the top two keys to leading positive change: showing up and speaking up. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owU5aTNPJbs

Nothing can change our parents’ love for us. Yet, our parents’ unconditional love does change. Yes. It changes. As time goes by, it has become deeper and deeper, stronger and stronger. It’s the most gorgeous change, isn’t it? Most importantly, this is a weekend we’d like to offer special thanks to all Happiers’ Dads. Happy Father’s Day!!! Why don’t we whisper in Dad’s ear: Dance me, Daddy! Join us. Thanks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2EvjBHqLHY
