Please read the article before attending the gathering. For this week’s articles, there are total six pages. If you can’t compete reading the whole articles, please at least read page 1 & 2.
Questions:
1. Will you choose to buy non GM-foods? If yes, how do you distinguish non GM-foods from GM-foods?
2. To save cost, the ranchers around the world are highly likely to feed animals with GM feed, which means we may eat GM-foods through meats. Do you have any good ideas to prevent from eating GM-foods in our daily diet?
3. The scientists may insert cow genes into female pig to increase their milk production or insert fish genes into tomatoes to withstand the cold temperature. Do you think it is safe to mix different species' genes to create a new one?
4. If you were scientist, what kind of GM-foods you would consider to create? (Use your imagination and be creative!).
5. Please discuss the advantages and disadvantages as well as the pros and cons about GM-foods with your group mates.
